The Special Economic Zone of Industrial Production Type "Lipetsk" became the venue for the International SEZ-2023 Forum. The event was organized by the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, as well as the Government of the Lipetsk Region and SEZ Lipetsk.
The Forum included a number of panel sessions and meetings dedicated to topical issues of SEZ development in Russia. The participants of the International Forum discussed the prospects for the functioning of the territory with preferential treatment, issues of digitalization, regulatory and legal regulation of SEZs, as well as amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. The Forum also addressed the issue of sustainable development in Russia. The event participants discussed the goals and importance of implementing ESG principles to increase the investment attractiveness of infrastructure sites, climate agenda and carbon neutrality.
In addition to taking part in discussions of topical issues for SEZ development in Russia, together with other Forum participants, employees of the Perm Special Economic Zone visited the operating enterprises of the Lipetsk SEZ residents as part of a tour. In between sessions, Forum participants could also visit an exhibition of investment projects being implemented in the Lipetsk Region.
