Representatives of industrial business from Iran paid an official visit to the Kama region to participate in PIPF-2023. The delegation came to the Kama region to assess resource opportunities and potential for cooperation. The group, consisting of CEOs of large Iranian manufacturing companies from various industries, was headed by Gasimi Perdram, Secretary General of the Department of the Oman-Iran Chamber of Industry.
One of the scheduled meetings with the delegation took place on November 29 at the main office of JSC MC SEZ Perm. The guests were welcomed by Denis Bolkhovskikh, Deputy General Director for Development, and Olesya Gimranova, Head of the Resident Relations Department. In the format of a video presentation the guests were introduced to the territory of the SEZ and the advantages of the Perm Territory. More details were given about the residents of the Perm Special Economic Zone and their investment projects.
During the meeting, the scope of investments, investment terms, connection to energy resources and the cost of their use, as well as the rights, duties and responsibilities of residents were discussed in a dialog format. The topic of environmental safety was also discussed. Iranian representatives showed interest in cooperating with Russian investors.
In a question-and-answer format, the heads of foreign companies were explained the details of registration of an investment project and its importance for obtaining the status of a Perm SEZ resident.
At the end of the meeting the representatives of the management company answered the questions of the guests concerning the logistic possibilities of the territory of the special economic zone and the readiness of the production areas to start construction.
At the end of the visit, the parties agreed that it could become one of the stages of partnership between Iran and Perm Krai, opening up new prospects for the development of industry in the region.
Despite the vagaries of the weather after the introductory meeting in the office, the delegation still went to the main site of SEZ PPT "Perm", located on the territory of Gamovsky rural settlement of the Perm municipal district, to see everything with their own eyes.
Saying goodbye, Gasimi Perdram noted that Perm is a very beautiful city, where the cold weather is compensated for by the warm welcome and friendly attitude of its inhabitants.
We are sure that this meeting was not the last one, and we have something to strengthen the interest shown by the Iranian guests.
