The interdepartmental working group of the Russian Government, headed by Yuri Trutnev, approved the project.
The main specialization of the special economic zone in the Osentsovsky industrial area will be the development of chemistry and petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, metalworking and the IT-industry. We already have five potential residents with an investment volume of more than 10 billion ₽ — projects to manufacture highly atmospheric polyethylene reinforced pipes, load-lifting equipment, create a data processing center and others. Now our economy especially needs additional investments and business needs new forms of support. Creation of the SEZ solves both these problems. Enterprises receive preferential taxation and other preferences, while the Kama region gets new jobs and long-term investment projects.
