As part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2023, an agreement was signed between the Perm Krai Development Fund JSC (PDKF) and the Russian IT company Sitronics Group. (PDKF) and Sitronics Group, a Russian IT-company, to invest in the development of our resident, Perm Shipyard LLC (PSV).
The multidisciplinary Sitronics Group specializes in the development of digital management platforms in the areas of security, transport, housing and utilities, education and their implementation, develops its electric charging business, and produces IT equipment and servers. Moreover, Emperium shipbuilding company of Sitronics Group was the first in Russia to launch mass production of electric passenger ships. The company's shipyard, located in the Leningrad Region, designs and builds river and lake class vessels with a capacity of 50 to 200 passengers on board.
As General Director of FRPC Alexei Burakov noticed, the concluded contract is a principally new step in development of shipbuilding in the region, including that on electric traction. According to Alexey Katkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sitronics Group (Saint-Petersburg), electric ships are supposed to replace diesel fleet at rivers and lakes, make water routes more comfortable and eco-friendly while partnership with Perm Shipyard will help to meet growing demand for electric ships, first of all, for the needs of the Ural and Volga regions.
As a reminder, being a resident of the special economic zone of industrial-production type "Perm", LLC "Perm Shipyard" plans to implement in the special economic zone its investment project on modernization of production facilities for the production of river and sea vessels, metal structures, stopping and berthing complexes. The company's investments are estimated at 2,5 billion ₽.
